DESCRIP TION: We are seeking a dynamic, highly self-driven individual to join a well established organization to launch a new service in Alaska. Reporting to the Senior Executive heading commercial business, the successful candidate will be fully accountable for the performance of the operation and sales function, while ensuring that customer requirements are consistently achieved. The General Manager will oversee all of the activities of the Anchorage office relating to its profitable operations and growth, driving implementation of commercial and operational strategies.
REQUIREMEN TS: Degree in any discipline with at least 10 years of experience in NVOCC / Ocean Freight For warding industry in the Alaska trade, of which 5 years are in a management position. Demonstrated good business / financial acumen with strong strategic abilities. Must have P & L and operations responsibility in current/ previous positions held. Possess in-depth knowledge of NVOCC/Freight Forwarding, shipping industry with wide network of contacts. Possess skills to relate well at all levels of management and staff.
